1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern the contractual relationship between you (hereinafter the “User”) and the Cala App (hereinafter “Cala” or “we”). By using the app, you agree to these terms.
2. Description of the service
Cala is an app that provides users with personalized training routines for their dogs. The guidance contained in the app is based on positive reinforcement methods. Using the app does not replace a professional in-person dog trainer or a veterinarian. The success of the training depends largely on individual implementation and the behavior of the respective dog.
3. Personal responsibility and safety
- Health: You confirm that your dog is healthy and physically able to perform the suggested exercises. If you have concerns, a veterinarian should be consulted beforehand.
- Safety: Training is at your own risk. Always pay attention to the surroundings and the safety of your dog and of third parties. Cala accepts no liability for injuries or property damage that occur during or as a result of training.
- Animal welfare: The use of force, coercion, or aversive methods is prohibited when using Cala. Training must always be based on the well-being of the dog.
4. Registration and account
A user account is required for the full range of features. You are obliged to provide truthful information and to keep your login credentials secure. Sharing your account with third parties is not permitted.
5. Subscription and payments
- Paid content: Certain features of the app are subject to a charge. Prices and billing intervals are clearly displayed to you before you take out a subscription.
- Cancellation: Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time via the relevant app store settings (Apple App Store / Google Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Intellectual property
All content in the app, including videos, texts, graphics, and logos, is the intellectual property of Cala. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without our express permission is prohibited.
7. Disclaimer
Cala does not guarantee that specific training goals will be achieved. Our content is intended as support and inspiration. Liability for direct or indirect damage arising from the use or unavailability of the app is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
8. Privacy
Protecting your data is important to us. Information about the processing of your personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to the terms
We reserve the right to adapt these Terms of Service as needed (e.g. in the event of legal changes or new features). You will be informed of material changes in good time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
10. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Should individual provisions of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
